If you’ve ever had someone tell you to “look on the bright side” or to “see the cup half full”, chances are that person is a positive thinker. Researchers are finding more evidence pointing to the benefits of positive thinking. Such findings suggest that a person with a positive mindset is less stressed and also has better overall health and wellness. 

Your mind can have a powerful effect on your body, your immune system in particular. Immunity is one area where your thoughts and attitudes can have an extremely powerful influence. Research has shown that activation in brain areas associated with negative emotions led to weaker immune responses in various disease stages. Researchers also found that people who were optimistic about their recovery, exhibited a stronger immune response than those who had a more negative view of their situation.

You can eat as healthy as you want but without a positive attitude and your head space will begin to make you physically sick. 

I'm sure many of you grew up hearing the bible verse ‘There’s life and death in the power of the tongue”, if you believe this to be true doesn’t it make sense to choose to speak positive life over our affairs rather than negative thoughts. 

Unfortunately, we live in a world full of negative energy. From the music, the news and the social media post; we are inundated with negative information. It ultimately has a very negative effect on our mind, body,  and spirit consciously and subconsciously. 

Thankfully, the mind is so powerful that there are ways to reprogram our mind from a negative one to a positive one– by utilizing positive affirmations.
